The period of prime maturity of grapes for excellent wine varies each year and is dependent upon the climate. Also some vineyard areas, because of their location, ripen ahead of others so there is a reasonably wide buying period. Please make your personal contacts, whether for freshly picked grapes, or juice from Ontario grown fresh grapes, early to secure the varieties and quantities you need.
